PREAMBLE
Pravara Rural Engineering College Loni, started on 21“August 1983, is the premier of all the institutions under the technical education complex developed by the Pravara Rural Education Society. The Society was established in 1964 by Late Padmashri Dr.Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil, who was also founder of the Pravara Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd, Pravaranagar. The Society has been registered under the Societies Registration Act 1960 and the Mumbai Public Trust Act 1950.

Pravara Rural Engineering College is located at a distance of 2 km from Loni bus stand on the Ahmednagar-Sangamner state highway. It is directly approachable from Mumbai via Nasik & Sangamner or via Shirdi & Babhaleshwar and from Pune via Sangamner or Ahmednagar. Maharashtra State Transport runs frequent bus services. Belapur (Shrirampur) is the nearest railway station (22 km) on Central Railway line from where direct train services are available to Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Nagpur, Bengalore, Jammu, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Madras, Trivendrum etc. The nearest airports are Pune & Aurangabad from where daily flights are available to Mumbai & Delhi. The College is situated at a distance of about 26 km from the famous holy shrine of Saibaba at Shirdi. The climate of Loni is mild, dry and salubrious. The college campus is spread over an area of 83 acres.
